The Contiform S in the stretch blow molding machine range offers the highest level of technology that can reduce the cost of manufacturing PET bottles.
Pack Expo is one of the most important exhibitions in the packaging industry in the world and will be launched in the United States, the world's largest market. Neutraubling's Krones AG of course wants to participate. The exhibition was held in Chicago from October 29, 2006 to November 2. Krones designs, develops, manufactures, and installs machines and complete sets of equipment related to filling and packaging technology. The main customer groups are brewing companies, beverage manufacturers, food, chemical, pharmaceutical and beauty industries. Today, Krones has become a supplier of system technology to solve all kinds of problems for customers.
Krones will launch a single-module Contiroll HS high-speed labeling machine to show the possibility of labeling, and the Contiform stretch blow molding machine will show the design and production of PET bottles. At the same time, Krones also focuses on the service of the product life cycle, in addition to spare parts, also covers tool accessories, equipment upgrades, maintenance, repairs, strengthen equipment capacity design and equipment monitoring solutions.
Overall system improvement
There are many factors that must be considered in the overall optimization of filling equipment, such as: more features, higher productivity, more application resources, and more economic benefits. The systematic upgrade provided by the product life cycle service and the expansion of the corresponding equipment make the whole set of equipment more flexible, and the maintenance units are fully compatible, thereby increasing the functions of the equipment.
To ensure continuous operation of the equipment and to avoid downtime, spare parts and maintenance services are one of the key elements. Parts and wear parts belonging to the Krones lifecycle service range, 90% are in stock, especially standard basic components and stocks. In addition, experts on product lifecycle services also provide advice on managing warehouses on a case-by-case basis.
Module construction
Krones's modular labeling design meets the high flexibility required by the filling industry. The single modular labeler on display can be used for both self-adhesive cold glue compound labelling and hot glue labelling. The machine is composed of individual component groups combined with a combination system. Self-adhesive and cold glue or hot glue labeling units can be easily exchanged. At the same time, when the small bottle table is operated, the conversion time is significantly shortened, and the replacement of the tool set is also much easier. Flexibility is the highest principle of this design. The single module at Pack Expo was assembled with a Canmatic unit for hot glue labelling with cut-out rings.
The newly designed Contiroll high-speed body labeler can process 67,500 containers per hour, making all previous labelers dwarf. Therefore, the future high-power filling equipment requires only one set of Contiroll to meet all the filling demand power, that is, the second Contiroll unit is no longer needed.
Contiroll's new reel magazine
Krones has designed a new reel magazine for the ring-type labeling of the Contiroll labeler, which can accommodate up to 8 reels. Therefore, depending on the power level of the machine or the length of the label, Contiroll can even operate on its own for 8 hours in one shift without the intervention of the operator. Therefore, the ring-type labeling now has the advantages of automatic operation of the wet glue labeling machine, which significantly reduces the burden on the operator.
Contiform S20 super power
The Contiform S in the stretch blow molding machine range offers the highest level of technology that can reduce the cost of manufacturing PET bottles. The Contiform S20 on display at the booth is one of the most powerful models for producing large containers with a capacity of up to 3 litres. The Contiform S with 20 blowing stations has a mechanical power of up to 1800 containers per hour. To sum up, the entire blow molding machine can produce 36,000 bottles per hour.
