Scientists at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom have developed a fruit cling film that not only extends the shelf life of fruit, but also eats with fruit. This kind of fruit cling film is prepared by making sugar, oil, cellulase and glycerin into special solutions, and then soaking the fruit in this hot solution. When the fruit is removed from the hot solution, the surface will leave behind a thin, almost invisible protective film. The protective film can effectively prevent bacteria from infiltrating, prevent fruit rot, and can be eaten together with the fruit.
