"Walk measuring system" with sensors installed in the sole

At the "CEATEC JAPAN 2012" held at the Makuhari MESSE Convention and Exhibition Center in Japan on October 2-6, 2012, Murata exhibited a "walking measurement system" that installed a pressure sensor and a wireless module in the sole of the shoe. After wearing the shoes, the user can monitor the movement of the person's center of gravity, detect the posture of running, walking, and golf, and predict the rehabilitation effect.

The data measured by the pressure sensor can be transmitted to the smartphone via the "Bluetooth SMART" module. Murata's booth used the application for the trial production on its booth to show changes in the pressure on the user's feet on the screen of the smartphone.

This walking measurement system is mainly used to publicize the application cases of Murata's pressure sensor and Bluetooth SMART module. The pressure sensor uses a transparent piezoelectric film development product, the piezoelectric voltage constant is up to 180 × 10-3Vm / N, and it also has the characteristics of light transmittance of 98%, high transparency, and detection of torsional deformation in addition to telescopic deformation.
