Second, what are the common particle board adhesives?

At present, the adhesives used in the particleboard industry mainly include urea-formaldehyde resin, phenolic resin, isocyanate resin and melamine formaldehyde resin.  

1, urea-formaldehyde resin

Urea-formaldehyde resin is the most widely used adhesive in the particleboard industry. Most of the particleboards on the market are made of urea-formaldehyde resin. Urea-formaldehyde resin is light in color, short in curing time, easy to use, and the biggest advantage is that it is cheap. The particle board made of it has high physical strength and certain resistance to cold water, heat and durability, and is suitable for use in a relatively dry environment.

Mainly used in the production of various indoor particleboards.  

 

2, phenolic resin

The color of the phenolic resin is brown, so the particleboard made with it is darker in color; the curing temperature is high, the curing time is long, and the price is high. However, the particle board produced by the same has superior performance to urea-formaldehyde resin particle board, has good water resistance, heat resistance and weather resistance, and has certain flame retardancy. Mainly used in the production of outdoor particle board and structural particle board.

  

3. Isocyanate resin

Isocyanate resin is the most expensive of the three types of particleboard adhesives. It is 4 to 5 times that of ordinary urea-formaldehyde resin. The performance of particleboard is similar to that of phenolic resin particle board, but the amount of glue is low. The short time, the particle board with lower density in the shopping mall and the product have no release of free formaldehyde during production and use. In the wood-based panel industry, isocyanate resins are mainly used to produce non-wood plant fiber wood-based panels in addition to particleboard and molded articles for various purposes.  

4, melamine formaldehyde resin

The melamine formaldehyde resin has a fast curing speed and can be thermally cured and cured at room temperature without adding a curing agent; the storage period is short, generally prepared by powdery resin storage, or modified melamine resin to prolong storage time. Although the particle board made of melamine formaldehyde resin has good physical and mechanical properties and good resistance to boiling water, heat and weather resistance, it is brittle and easy to be broken. It is not suitable for use alone. It is often used together with ** resin for production. Modified resin to make better particleboard.
