The current label printing methods include embossing, flexo, offset , gravure, and screen printing. Especially for the pursuit of exquisite label printing, making it difficult for competitors to copy, powerful label printing companies have begun to use embossing, screen printing, flexo printing and other units to form a production line for label printing, expecting to achieve a variety of products on the same label. The combination of craftsmanship. However, in my opinion, although there are several major types of label printing implementations, there are rules to follow and little change. The inks required for label printing are varied and have significant differences. It can be said that it is precisely because of the great development of ink that the label has its own "character password."

In general, the label is only from the concise labeling of the target product, to the more connotation and beauty of the target product, and then from the traditional visual simple impact to the intelligent labeling of product information, bringing people a colorful feeling. The role played by the ink is indispensable. People use anti-counterfeiting inks to achieve the encryption performance of labels. Magnetic inks enable labels to record some hidden information of products. In recent years, smart labels such as RFID tags and temperature-changing tags have appeared.

(1) Temperature change ink

The temperature change label is a label printed using a special temperature change ink (also known as a thermochromic ink, a heat sensitive ink or a temperature indicating ink). Under special conditions, changes in the environment result in changes in the color of the ink on the temperature-sensitive label, enabling visible or invisible signs, making it easy to verify the authenticity of the product and prevent counterfeiting.

Under normal circumstances, the temperature change ink is basically the same as the binder, auxiliary agent and filler used in the common ink, except that the pigment used is sensitive to temperature changes. In general, temperature-changing inks can be divided into five series of reversible color inks, reversible color-developing inks, reversible color-removing inks, memory inks, and interval color-developing inks. The specific differences are as follows.

1. Invertible color ink

The so-called reversible color ink means that after the ink is heated, its color changes to another color, and the original color can be restored after the temperature is lowered. In general, the color change of the reversible color ink is yellow-red, green-yellow, red-green, red-black, black-green, blue-green, blue-red, and the temperature change sensitive point is 60 °C. . The temperature change effect is greatly affected by the fineness of the temperature-changing ink particles. It is recommended to use the screen printing or gravure printing process.

2. Reversible color ink

The reversible color-developing ink and its printed product itself are colorless. After the temperature rises, the ink at the printing place shows color, and the color disappears after cooling. Similarly, the color development effect is affected by the fineness of the ink particles, and it is recommended to use a screen printing or gravure printing process. The temperature change sensitivity of the reversible color developing ink is 60 ° C, and the colors that can be displayed are rose red, peacock green, emerald green, blue, brown black.

3. Reversible achromatic ink

After the reversible achromatic ink is heated, its own color will disappear, and the original color can be restored after the temperature is lowered. In theory, this reversible achromatic ink can be printed by four printing methods: screen printing, gravure printing, offset printing, and UV flexography, but the screen printing and gravure printing effects are the best. The temperature change of the reversible achromatic ink is sensitive, and is 7 to 15 ° C, 25 to 32 ° C, 37 to 42 ° C, 45 to 50 ° C, and 60 to 65 ° C. The color of the reversible achromatic ink is medium yellow, gold red, royal blue, sky blue, emerald green, rose red, pink, peacock green, dark green, black, and the like.

4. Memory ink

The memory ink itself is colorless, and the color appears when the temperature rises to a certain level, and the color does not fade after the temperature is lowered, and the color is not colored until the second temperature is raised to the same temperature. This memory ink is recyclable and is a reversible color ink.

5. Specific interval color ink

The interval color ink is colorless at low temperature or high temperature, and only develops in the temperature range of 33 to 47 ° C, and is also a reversible color ink.
