1. Trimming

The most common printing method for sheet-fed cardboard is offset printing, so it is necessary to prevent paper dust and other particles from entering the printing machine with the paper to the greatest extent possible. An important aspect of the quality of the slitting board is to ensure that there is no paper dust on the cutting edge. The following measures can minimize paper dust:

Select the most suitable cutter material and angle according to the cut cardboard; the cutter should be replaced on time; adjust the base of the cutter (cutting edge, inclination, edge overlap, knife pressure, etc.) reasonably, cut The base of the paper knife should be maintained on time.

Throughout the cutting process, the pressure of the conveyor belt should be suitable and as stable as possible.

Correctly install the trimming tube so that the pulling force during trimming is as small as possible.

The roll to be slitted should be as round as possible to ensure that the tension does not change after the cardboard is pulled out.

When replacing a new reel for slitting, make sure that all four sides are centered.

When cleaning the machine, pay special attention to the dust-free cleaning of the slitting knife. Dispose of static electricity.

The slitting workshop should be equipped with air conditioning.

Good slitting machines usually have the function of trimming, so that the cardboard can get clean and clean four sides and can be neatly and beautifully coded on the pallet. But sometimes customers will ask not to trim the edges in order to reduce waste. However, under normal circumstances, the cardboard should be trimmed during slitting. The edge of the roll is likely to be slightly damaged during transportation. Only by trimming can we ensure that the cardboard will not cause problems when it enters the printing machine.

2. Indentation

The indentation is mainly caused by the inconsistent speed of the conveyor belt, rib, belt, straightener, etc. Therefore, all transmission devices should be consistent with the rotation speed of the conveyor belt (whether it is in contact with the upper surface of the paper or the lower surface). At the same time, it is necessary to avoid slipping of the transmission wheels, because they may also cause the shape of the cardboard to change. In addition, when adjusting the pitch of the rotating wheels, the thickness of the cardboard should be considered.

When stacking papers, use the air brake to reduce the pressure marks. The use of mechanical brakes must correctly adjust the shape and structure of Shi. The material of the conveyor belt must be suitable for the matte cardboard (the material must be anti-slip), especially when the speed is inconsistent, the surface layer of the cardboard is the most sensitive.

In non-connected places, such as the paper receiving table behind the transmission wheel, the place where the paper is stacked and received, a blower should be used to reduce friction. The traces left by the gate at the stack of papers can be seen with the naked eye if you observe them carefully. Adjusting the cutting paper properly can reduce the impact.

3. Surface crack

The closer the cardboard is to the part of the core, the greater the degree of bending. It is very important for the paper cutter to have a reverse bending device, and the cardboard part closest to the core cannot be used. The thicker the cardboard or the smaller the diameter of the core, the more cardboard discarded at the core. A 12-inch (306mm) diameter core can minimize surface cracks and other related problems.

Reverse bending should be equipped with bearings and have a large enough diameter to prevent the surface from breaking. From an empirical point of view, the diameter of the reverse bend should reach 60mm-70mm, in order to avoid the problem of surface cracking of the FBB with a thickness of 6001xm. Of course, if the cut white carcass weight is lower, you can also use a smaller reverse bend. In addition, you can also use the inverse bending system to perform inverse bending treatment in several different places.

Special care should be taken when bending thick or long-stocked cardboard.


In addition, special attention should be paid when a whole volume block is to be cut.
To avoid the use of transmission wheels with large bending forces, the minimum diameter of the transmission gear should not be less than 100mm.

There are various types of slitting machines on the market, some are specially used for cardboard slitting, and some are used for slitting multiple materials. When slitting different materials, the slitter needs to be adjusted properly to ensure that the slitted paper has the best quality. In the event of a customer complaint about slitting cardboard, in addition to basic information, the most important thing is to correctly sample and send it to the paper mill. Generally speaking, the following information must be provided: a full printed paper pattern to show the problem; When the problem occurs, on the relevant equipment of the printing machine, use tape to pick up the residue, and put the tape in a plastic bag and send it with the paper pattern; flat cardboard (not cut into small strips) that has not been printed to show the presence of paper dust The edge of the paper; avoid sending paper samples in a rolled manner, preferably folded.
