Xbox One and Xbox One S will not support Scorpio VR games
Microsoft has its own face, Xbox One and Xbox One S will not support Scorpio VR games.
When Microsoft announced its next-generation game console, Scorpio, on the E3 in June this year, the company said that all games and accessories will support all versions of the Xbox One. Now, the company has clarified some of the previous statements that Scorpio will have "VR-only" games.
Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox game business marketing, said: "In general, when you launch a new generation of game consoles, you won't be compatible with previous games and accessories. So we said that if you bought games and accessories for your Xbox One. Or if you buy an Xbox One S, Scorpio will support these games and accessories."
Greenberg said that there will be no Scorpio monopoly in the future because they "don't want anyone to be left behind." In fact, the difference between Scorpio and other versions of Xbox One is that it is more powerful and enables a high-fidelity VR experience.
“Now, as performance improves, we will be able to achieve a high-fidelity VR experience. We believe that this part of the content is not a console game, but a high-fidelity VR experience. Therefore, the VR experience should be yours in Scorpio. New things to get," Greenberg said.
Simply put, Scorpio won't have an exclusive console game, but high-fidelity VR games are not included because Xbox One and Xbox One S are not compatible.
With the announcement of Scorpio, many people are curious what will be the future of Xbox One. Greenberg said they believe that the future of the game has nothing to do with the generation of the host. Instead, they are now focused on building a game library, a player community and the ability to "hardware iterate", and they have a big bet in Scorpio.

Scorpio was previously announced to be on sale during Christmas 2017. Now, users can purchase the 2TB version of the Xbox One S for $399. The 500GB and 1TB versions will also be available later this year.
