Tissue paper
import
In the first three quarters of 2018, the import volume of the household paper industry increased significantly, showing a trend of rising prices and prices, mainly due to the significant increase of 108.89% in the import volume of raw paper, and the average price of raw paper decreased by 17.98%. Export products are still dominated by finished products, accounting for 73.00% of total exports. The export volume of China's household paper has increased, compared with the same period in 2017, exports have picked up slightly.
Hygiene products
import
In the first three quarters of 2018, the total import volume of absorbent hygiene products was 164,200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.57% (the same period in 2017: 194,500 tons); the average price increased by 8.53% over the previous year. Imported products are mainly baby diapers, accounting for 91.96% of the total imports, and 87.06% of the total imports, and the import volume has increased. Among them, the number and amount of baby diapers imported from Japan accounted for 96.18% and 96.06% respectively. The import volume of sanitary napkins/sanitary pads and hemostatic plugs was 7,270.88 tons, an increase of 12.95% year-on-year. The average price was 15,071.20 US dollars/t, an increase of 19.70%, and the import volume and price increased. Among them, the most imported from Japan, the proportion and amount accounted for 42.83% and 34.29%.
Export
In the first three quarters, the export performance of absorbent hygiene products was stable: the total export volume was 5.4 million tons, an increase of 13.99% year-on-year, and the total export volume increased by 13.70%. The average price of export products dropped slightly by 0.26%, and the price was basically the same as that of the same period of 2017. However, compared with imports, the average price of imported sanitary products (2,898.21 US dollars/t) was significantly lower than that of imports (6,025.71 US dollars/t), indicating domestic production. There is still room for improvement in hygiene products. Most of the exports are in the form of general trade. The largest proportion of export products is baby diapers, accounting for 34.02% of the total exports. According to the export volume and amount, the export country of baby diapers is mainly Russia.
Wipes
import
In the first three quarters of 2018, the import volume of wet wipes increased by 3.88% over the same period of the previous year (2.45% in the same period of 2017), but the import volume decreased sharply by 27.36%, and the average price of imported wet wipes soared by 43%. 2,000 US dollars / t.
Export
The export volume and export volume of wet wipes increased by 21.97% and 16.41% respectively (the growth rate in the same period of 2017 was 13.39% and 16.47%, respectively), but the average unit price of export wet wipes further fell by 4.56%.
