Apple Pay services are growing rapidly: trading volume has increased fivefold in the last two quarters

Driven by global expansion, Apple Pay's trading volume increased by 500% in Apple's fourth quarter of fiscal 2016 and the first quarter of fiscal 2017. According to a research report released by analyst firm SimilarTech, Apple is currently ranked fifth in the online payment industry. Although Apple leads Google and Amazon in this industry, it still lags behind PayPal as a market leader. The report also said that after launching in September 2015, the Apple Pay service has now landed on more than 1,000 websites.
