Adhesive T-peel strength test method (below)

6. Conditioning and testing environment

Samples shall be tested and tested in the standard environment specified in GB 2918. Sample conditioning

The time should not be less than 2h.

7. Test procedure

Separate the flexible test piece from the unglued one end and symmetrically clamp it in the upper and lower holders as shown in figure lb.

It can be slipped to ensure that the applied tension is evenly distributed across the width of the specimen. Start the tester so that the upper and lower clamps are

(100 ± 10) mm/min rate separation.

The peel length of the specimen should be at least 125mm, and the peeling load curve should be drawn when the recording device is waiting. And pay attention to the shape of destruction

Formula, ie adhesion failure, cohesive failure or destruction of adherends.

8. Test result processing

For each sample, the average peel force, measured in N, was determined from the relationship between peel force and peel length.

Calculate the peel strength of the peel force at least l00mm. But does not include the initial 25mm, can be used to draw an estimate, etc.

The high line (see Figure 2) or the area method is used to obtain the average peel force. If you need more accurate results, you can also use it

His proper method.

Record the maximum and minimum values of peel force in this peel length of at least 100 mm and calculate the corresponding peel strength

Degrees.

Δt=F/B

Where: δt a peel strength, kN / m;

F - peel force, N;

B - specimen width, mm.

Calculate the average peel strength, minimum peel strength, and maximum peel strength for all test specimens.

(Note: If necessary, the initial peak occurring outside of the specified strip length can be recorded separately and later indicated in the test report, but not during the averaging process.)

9. Test report

The test report includes the following sections:

a. reference to the standard number;

b. Test all the complete signs of adhesives, including type, source, product brand, batch or lot number, form, etc.;

c. A complete description of the material to be adhered, in particular the thickness, size, type of material and method of surface treatment;

d. Description of the bonding process, including the use of adhesives, drying or curing conditions, bonding temperature and pressure;

e. the average thickness of the adhesive layer after the glue is completed;

f. A complete description of the sample, including size, structure, and quantity;

g. Condition of pre-test state adjustment and the environment of the test;

h. the rate of separation of the chucks;

i. Measure the maximum, minimum, and average peel strength, and their arithmetic average, in kN/m

For the unit;

j. The type of failure of each specimen, ie, adhesion failure, cohesive failure, or destruction of the adhered material;

k. Any inconsistent with the prescribed steps that may affect the test results.
